(Received 21, 1.30 a.in.) ROME, May 20. Ex-King Alfonso has severed relations with his eldest son, Count dongaAn official statement says that the Count's pubiic assertions that he still considers bimself to be the legitimate heir to the Spanish Crown have caused real anguish to Alfonso. The Royal Family considers that the assertions are more grave as all Spanish' citizens should concern themselves solely with the destiny of the Fatherland and the re-establishment of order and peace there. An additional cause of deep grief to his Majesty is in Count Oovadonga's plan to re-marry, which oould never be approved "by the Royal household, as it
is absolutely in conflict with the Catholio faith and laws of the fathei'land"His Majesty is painfully compelled to.sever all relations, believing that he thus will interpret the sentiments of all Spanish Catholics and Monarchist," concludes the eommunique.
