"My mother was born at Clifton, Gloucertershi.-e, England," said Mr Bromell this monxing. "She came to .New Zealand in 1868 and has lived in Nelson practica-Uy the whole of her life. Those of her children still aliye are Ph'lip (Nei ■>'-ii), Erlmund (Nelson: Miss Bromell (Nelson), Mrs G.
