On Friday evening, in the Peace Memorial Hall, a well-attended meeting was held for the purpose of forming a miniature rifle club. After a lively discussion it was resolved Uo form a club, to be called "The Coronation Miniature Bifie Club. ' ' Mr G. Holdeu was elected patron, Mr J. Byan, president, Mr E. i)unn, captain and coach, and Mr G. Studd, secretary. A number of vicepresidents were elected, and Messrs J. . Madson, S. Fritchley, F. Carney, K. Pori and S. McMurray were, elected as a eommittee. _It d's expected that there will be a large membership from all parts of the district. The next meeting is to be held at Norsewood. Equipment f ormerly owned by a similar club in Dannevirke, now disbanded, is to be acquixed at a cost of £10. 1 The grading of shots, coet of membership, and adoption of rules were deferred until a future meeting, when more information will be availahle. Probably ladies , will be invited to join when the club is fully organised and fairly started.
