PHONE CALLS INCREASE
London Facilities Improvcd (Britisb OfBoial WiteieBB.l RGGBY, May 15. Londoners are at present making nearly 33,000,000 telephpne calla a week, an increase of about 3,000,000 compared with a year ago. This enormous total of calls is being haadled by J259 exchanges in the London area, 113 of which have already been converted tp automatic working. It is aatici•pated before the year is eut 13 new automatic exchanges will h»ve been !brougbt into service.
