"We boliove that the disease is delinitoly on the wane and it is now practically over in this district," was tlie statoment made by Dr. North, medical superintendent of the Palmerston North liospital, at a meeting of the board, when referonce was made to infantile paralysis. "It is too early yet to mahe a definite statement on the question of whether there will be no furtlicr local cases, beeause of the possibility of contaets whilo cases are occurring in other districts," Dr. North added.
