Lists of Applicants Should Be Made Available REQUEST TO BE MADE Representations are to be made to the Under-Secretary of Justice by the Hastings Chamber of Commerce for lists of applicants for rjjlief under the Mortgagors and Lessees Act to be made available in the provincial districts as well as in the four main centres. "When referring to this matter at the meeting last evening Mr W. E. Bate, vice-president 'of the Chamber, said that originally it was proposed that the names should be gazetted, but this idea had been dropped and now the lists were available only in the four centres. "From a business point of view I think that there should be a list made available at the main courthouses in the provincial districts. There- could be a seareh fee made payable perhaps," be said. "I will move that we make representations to see if it is not possible for the lists to be made available at the main provincial centres, sueb as where there is a Court of Review." ° "The lists should be made available, if only for the protection of the business interests," said Mr H. W. C. Baird, who seconded the motion. The motion was carried unanimously.
