Surprises in Women's Section WINS TO HUIA AND CLIVE ' The ground on Nelson PtcrS, Napier, on SatuTday, was on the soft side for good Foekey. Nevertheless, some verygood games were witnesse'd""5y a good gathering of speetators. In both of the women's senior games the results eame somewhat as a surprise. Huia down Napier by two goals to nil, and Clive defeated Technical Old Girls by Ihree goals. In neither instance did the losers plays up to their best form. In the men's senior matches Hastings Old Boys did not field 'their full team, and Kiwi had no difficulty in beating them by eight goals to two. Scinde, playing their best game of the season beat Waratahs by five goals to two, though the play was more even than the score eshowed. Both senior games were faist throughout. ■ In the men's junior game Scinde mustered only seven players, and Kiwi A beat them by nine goals to nil. The winners played good hackey. Following are the results:~ SENIOR WOMEN CRve 3)4 v. Teeh. Old Girls (nil). Misises M. Jaffray, M. Johnstone and L. Murray scOred. Huia (2) v. Napier (nil). Mrs Staples and Miss Jury goaled for Huia. SENIOR MEN Scinde (5) v. Waratahs (2). Manning (3), Vercoe and Duke were the seorers for Scinde, and Bell and Rouse fo? Waratahs. Kiwi (8) v. Old Boy® (2). V. McTuteheon (7) and C. Kronk goaled for Kiwi, and Watkixison and Dyer for Old Boys. JUNIOR MEN Kiwi A (9) v. Scinde (nil). HarveySmith (2), Lee (2), Alexander (2), Johnson 2) and Forno scored for Kiwi. _ . . 4 «■-
