BALL AT KOTE MAORI
.A Great Success The Public Works ball recently held was an outstanding success. The red while and blue streamers intermingled with a big head of greenery were most effeetive. The music, supplied by the Buff Orchestra, gave every satisfaction, and Mr Nathan proved a capable M.C., A large marque had been erected for the supper tables, and a savoury supper was served, The spot waltz was won by Mr and Mrs Roberson, and the Monte Carlo by Mrs T. Gavin and Mr B. Chambers. During a danee coloured balloons were liberated from the ceiling. Vocal items and a tap dance were popular numbers between the dances. Many beautiful frocks : were noticed.
