NORDON CUP HOCKEY
Wanganui Chalienge . Next Thursday . The first Nordon Cup representative hockey match for this season will ' be played at Nelson Park ' on Thursday next. Thns game, between Wanganui and Hastings, will be brimful of excitement in view of the fact that the New Zealand seldctors will most prdbably be present. With the New Zealand pjayers this year travelling to Australia, i,t has been decided to push provincial' games , further forward, thus giving both players and sclectors a better change for selection. Wanganui, it is believed, are eending over their usual very' strong team, while Hastings mai'ntain that the talenl showing this season is better than Ih prevnouS ' seasons'. This remains'to be seen on Thursday 'next, when an excellent game of hockey sliould bc witnessed. ' ' The Hastings team will be as follows:— Forwards: McNab, Hemapo, O 'Neill. Fulton, McDonald. Halves: Lynch, Tutaki, Haraki, Backs: Blumout, Mah'oney. Goal: Parkhill. Reserves: Forwards, Kirkman, Shuker; backs, Treaeher, A. Taylor.
