Gracie Melds is to make her first Twenfcieth Century film in England in July. Barryl Zannuck wished to make the picture in Hollywood, but Miss Eields's • producc-r, Monty Bauks, said, J' r>V ih the British film indnstry facing its present crisis it would bo bad policy if Gracie appeared to walk out in favouf of Hollywood." A second Gracie Eields film, to be made in Hollywood in the autumn, will probably be "Countess of Arizdna." No attempt will be made to ehange Miss Eields's established English comedy style. "In England," said Miss Eields, ' ' we 've had to gst used to 1 oh yeahs ' and ' ' sez y oue ' in American talkies. Why not give America a few 'ba gooms' in exchange?"
