PARCHMENT CHANTILLY LACE WORN BY NAPIER BRIDE
MORICE— WEST A very pretty wedding too1/ place last evening at ti© Trinity Methodist Church, Napier, when the Rev. H. Odell united in holy matrimony, Hazel Mavis West, of Napier, and Geoffroy Hamilton, second son of Mr and Mrs-G. H. Morice, of "Omoeroa," Gisborne. The church was beautifully decorated with flowers and foliage in autumn shades by Solway College Old Girls, who were friends of the bride. Dr. R. I. Sutton presided at the organ, and Miss Dorothy Buckingham rendered the solo, "My Frayer." The bride, who was escorted by her brother, Mr Reg West, wore a lovely wedding gown oi parchment chantilly lace, worn over an underdress of satin tatt'etas, and falling gpracefully to form a traih, which was appliqued with hand-made parchment satin liowers at the hemline. The sleeves were long and tight-fitting, and the liigh neckline was limshed with tiny loops and buttons at the back, and satin flowers trimmed the front of the corsage. The parchment tulle veil, which formed a second train, was tied in place with a bandeau of plaited silver lame, matching the silver girdle worn. She carried a beautiful sfiower bouquet. In attendance as bridesmaids were Miss Mabel Cuming, Miss Hilda iiush and Miss Bernadine Morice. The two first-mentioned were frocked in soft pink chiffon patterned in deeper tones of pink and mauve and worn over taifetas of the same shade. The neckline was finished with velvet flower of leaf green and velvet waistband of the same green was worn. Miss Bernadine Morice was frocked in maize chiffon patterned in the same toniugs of pink and rnailve, also finished with leaf green velr-et; waistband and flower. All three bridesmaids wore bandeaus of gold intervvoven ,1am e and gold shoes. They carried bouquets to tono. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr Sid Broadhurst, of Gisborne, and 'the groomsmen were Mr Hugh Morice (brother of the bridegroom), and Mr Tom Witters. At the conclusion of the service a reception was held, Miss Collison and Miss L'arver receiviug the guests. After the wedcing breakfast, which was serv•5(1 ouffet style, a danc© was held. Miss Collison Was wearing a model frock of black crepe satin with floral tinsel embossed tunic and smart black hat. Miss Carver's frock was of burgandy delustred crepe corona patterned in satin and relieved with ecru lace on corsage, hat to tone. Mrs Morice, niother of the bridegroom, wore a crepe satin frock of Mailborough blue, the belt having a prevty buckle fastening with hat of the* same shade of blue. The bride travelled in a , smartly-taiiore-1 tweed suit of brown flecked with red, brown velour hat and brown accessories. Among the many presents received was a set of silver cake forks and tea-spo-ms a gift from the Solway College Old Girls.
