DBAMA OP BAOKWOODS Depicting the conrageous fight of a beautiful young feminine lawyer, who risks love and reputation to save a simple backwoods girl who wanted a pretty dress and love— only to be doomed by backwoods vengeance, "Career Woman," the* Twentieth-Century-Fox dramatic sensation, screens to-night at the State Theatre. Vitally alive is this different story of a lonely backwoods girl's figbt for freedom and justice, Claire Trevor and Miohael Whalen are inspiringly cast in tbe leading romantic roles with Isabel Jewell. Glamour, thrills, romance and humour mark "One Exeitipg Adventure," the second American film of Binnie Barnes, which. is the second feature at the State. The actress emerges in this picture as one of the most glamorous figures on the American screen. The story is that of one of the most colourful and beautiful women .of Europe, who intrigues all men but who is not interested in love, only in the glitter of diamonds. The picture opens with Paul Cavaiiagh,- a sinister and eharming admirer, who has fojlowed her over half the world, writing a cheque for a magnificent diamond Binnie has skilfully appropriated from one of Paris' most exclusive gem shops.
