WHANGAREI, Last Night. Speaking at Onerahi last evening, Mr. J. G. Barclay, M.P., hinted that a number of men would shortly be absorbed on work on the Northland grimfields. "I expect that the Goveran^ent will shortly be offering a guaranteed priee for gum," he said, "and the avenues of employment opened up will relieve the situation in the North."
