JAPANESE WHALER

New Vessel Launched (Received 13, 11.45 a.m.) TOKIO, May 12. Ten thousand people at Osaka saw the 550-foot Tona Maru No. 2 launched on the 800-foot Aji river, a feat comparable with the launehing of the Queen Mary on the Clyde. The elaborate equipment of the vessel includes 40 tanks, each of which is capable of storing 500 tons of whale oil. The owners are the Japan Marine Products Co.
