The Hon. P. Fraser, Acting-Prime Minister, opened the Waikato Winter Show at Hamilton on Tuesday afternoon by telephone from his office at Parliament Buildings. Mr. A. D. Benham left New Zealand last week for England, where he will probably reeide permanently. He obtained the degrees of B.E, and M.Sc. at Canterbury University College qnd was a nominee for a Rhodes Scholarship for two years in succession.
