TIKOKINO DOG TRIALS

Considerable Success Attends Annuai Meeting GOOD PERFORMANCES Considerable success again attended the annuai dog trials of the Tikokino Dog-Trial Club, which were held in per•f ect 'weather throughout. Good entxies made competition keen, and. the perf ormances " by - the winning dogs were favourably commented upon by the judge at the cOnclusion of each class. At the conclusioh of the meeting the president of the elub, Mr D. Eddy, oxpressed the club'e thanks to Mr R. Mathews for the use of the grounds and also for the donation of a cup. Mr Eddy pointed out that Mr Mathews was a very generous supporter of the club. Thanks were expressed also to Captain Carlyon, for the use of sheep, and to Mr J. Gillespie, who aeted as judge for the trials. Mr Eddy speeially commented upon Mr F. Setley's fine record in having filled the office of timekeeper for the club for 26 years without a break and expressed the hope that he would continue to serve tho club for another 26 years.
