NAPIER SCHOOL SERVICE
A special Coronation service was cbnducted at the Napier Girls ' High Schooi yesterday, wheh Commander L. C. P. Tudway, D.S.O., D.S.C., E.N., addrcsed the girls. Eollowing the ceremouy, the captain planted a totara tree in the school grounds to commemorate the Coronation. The acting-principal, Miss A. M. Anderson, briefly referred to the purpose of the service, and read passages from the Gospels of St. Peter and St. Matthew. Eollowing the recithtion of the special prayer in honour of tho occasion by the Poet Laureate, John Maselleld, Mr W. Dinwiddie, chairman of the Napier Education Board, introduced Captain Tudway. Tho address dealt with the sight in London on the day of the Coronation, and the speaker described the form of the ceremony, the procession and sertvice at Westminster Abbey.
