WAIPUKURAU, Last Night"The department's policy seems to be to improve the back-country roads, so as to give settlers decent exit," commented the chairman of the Patangata Coirnty Councilj Mr C. Pattison, at yesterday's meeting. He was referring to a proposal of the Public Works Department to metal settlement roads in various parts of tbe country, including area's in the Patangata County. The council deeided yesterday to furnish the department with all desired information regarding back roads.
