Hugh Crowds Undeterred by Weather DECORATIONS DAMAGED (Received 12, 1.0 p.m.) LONDON, May 11. Mr. Stanley Baldwiu's garden party, in honour of the overseaB visitors, has been cancelled owing to the rain. The rain continued throughout London 's lunch interval but unusually large crowds and heavy traffic were in the streets. The weather is playing havoc with the decorations. Bad weather continued to dog the Australians in their historic task of gu&rding the Palace. After rain throughout the night, the ceremonial of dismounting the guard took plaee in a steady downpour. It was watched by a thin line of spectators, carrying umbrellas. For the moment, people have forgotten transport problems to contemplate the weather outlook. Since breakfast heavy- rain eet in, drench'ing thousands trudging to work, Thousands of miles of street decorations hang limp and saturated, and all the seats on the Co* jronation route, except for a few cov£red stands, are soaked and can scarcely be dry by to-morrow.
