WELLINGTON, Last Night. * In a unanimous motion carrled to-, night the Wellington Presbytery expressed deep concern "at the conditions, revealed in the report of the Govern-. ment committee ofc criminal abortxon; and acknowledged the responsibility of. the church in conlmon with" all sectionsj of the cominunity for the low moral|. standard which made such a state of j afPairs possible. * t ' ■ While strongly supportmg the re-j quest for a. commission . to, make Jegis-i lation more effective the presbytery ex-. preesed the conviction that the. root,1 cause lay in the widespread neglect of those moral ideals which were the outcome of personal; religion and that a solution of the problent 'lay in a return to God as revealed ih Scripture and in the' person :of Jesus Christ. . •
