More Funds Required By Hastings Organisation DONATIONS ACKN0WLEDGED The Hastings and District Scots * Society is end.eavouring to raise funds to. equip the Highland Pipe Band. The society has fecently taken over the management of the band and ha? made an appeal for funda to provide uew uniforms. Although there has been a generous response, more ds required properly to equip the band, This band is distinetly a Hastings and district band, and the society hopes that the xesideuts will respond to this appeal and thus enable the band to appear at its best. Kegular praetices are. being held and a number of young players are comiing, and it is hqped to be able to parade the band at full strength in th'e near future. Many parades have already been held, and the band will be seen on Coronation Day. Donations may 'be left with Mr W. A. Williamson, Bussell street, treasurer, or Mr J. W. Shaw, Queen street, secretary. Following is a list of donations already received:-r-
