R.S.A. Deputation to Waipawa County Council

WAIPUKURAU, This Day. Bxpressions of goodwill between the Waipawa Returned Soldiers' Association and the Waipawa County Council were exchanged at tlie %uonthly meeting of the council yesterday, when the president of the Returned. Soldiers Association, Mr H. D. Limbrick, presented the council with a framed message, from the N.cw Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association, expressing appreciation for past kindly actions and co-operation. In thanking the association for the gift, the chairman of the council, Mr N. M. Paulsen, ass|ired Mr Limbrick that at all times in the future the council would endeavour to do everything possible to assist returned soldiers. "We have come to offer to you as representatives o| a great number of utizeus of this county, the thanks of returned soldiers who realise that your council has done a large amount of gpod since the days of the war," said Mr Limbrick, on behalf of a deputar tion, which included Messrs E. W. Chisholm., F. Adeane and N. Wiseman. "The association has entered into its ,21st. year, and we think the time is opportune to sfiow our appreciation for all you have done forus." In thanking the association for its gift, Mr Paulsen assured Mr Limbrick that the kindly action was much appreciated. "It is a very nice gesture, and an action like this engenders the good feeling between the council and the association," he added. "If this council has been able to renddr kindness to the association in the past, I think that an action like thig encourages us to render further acts of kindness in the future. "Ag a county, we have business dealings with the returned soldiers, and we always try to meet them in the right spirit, and to avoid any hardships. I'm sure this council will continue to do this in the future."
