Fortnightly Meeting

At the fortnaghtly meeting ot the Loyal Abbotsford Lodge, Manchester Unity Oddfellows, Past Grand Bro. J. Kirk presided over only a small attendance of members. An apology for non-attendance was reeeive.d from the N.G., Sister B. Weston. Advice was received of the death of one of the lodge 's oldest members, Bro. T. Pizzey, members standing in silenco as a mark of xespect to the late brother. The district secretary advised that a grant of £1500 had been made by the B.M.O. at Wellington recently to the Kdng George Y. Memorial Fund. The following nominations for tho officers of the lodge for the next six months were received: — N.G., Bro. N. MacPherson; V.G., Bro. M. Fair and Sister B. Kingston; E.S., Bro, L, Cosser and Bro. F. Wi Holt.
