The Egmont Meeting TO-MORROW'S PRQSPECTS Tho opening of the jumping soason proper at Hawera to-morrow (Coronation Day) should attract conisiderable interest, for there are several proved jumpers engaged in the Hurdles and Steeplechase, most of them claiming engagements in more important events over obstacles at Waikato and Auckland. The going at Hawera will be heavy. Fieids are xxot particularly good numerically, although they are sufflcxently strong to furnish spirited sport and excellent finishes. The meeting will be concluded on Saturday, when there will probably be several fresh horses making an appearance. The maiden race, open to horses of all ages, should see the two-year-old Vadanoe doing well after his good Second at Woodville recently, It is a nice field, with plenty of unknowa youngsters engaged to make it a tricky if very interesting contest. Other runnexis at Hawera to-morrow that phonld show up in their engagements are Surella, One Whetu, Eagle's Eye and International, while it would not be surprising to find Red Manfred on top in the sprint if the going is not too bad.
