Body Found At Railway Station

iBj Telegraph-

AUCKLAND, This Day. The body of a man, aged about 35, was found in a lavatory at the Newmarket railway station about 10 o'clock this morning. • At first it was thought that this might be a case of violence, there being a gash on the forehead and blood on the head and face, but police investigations tended to discount this theory. A doctor said that the injuries might have been caused by a fa.ll. The police ascertained that a man, giving his name and address, called at a chemist's shop at Newmarket this morning and bought a bottle of corrosive poison, stating that he wanted it for a foot-rot remeily, but the police , have not yet identified tho man.
