Committee Meeting ONGAONGA, Last Nigfit. Tfie monthly meeting of the Ongaonga School Committee was held in the schoolroom. There was a full atteudance of members. Mr. B. McNicol occupied tfie cfiair. Opportunity was taken to weleome£ Mr. K. Dailey, wfio fias been appointed to tho committee in place of Mr. A. J. Parker, wfio had fouiid it necessary to resjgn, Mr. M, Coles was appointed secretary. A letter was recoived from tfie secretary, Hawke's Bay Education Board, stating that tfie Education De* partment fiad been approacfied for a grant for Ijuilding a necessary fuel shed at tho scfiool. It was decided to ask the board 's arcliiteet to renovate tfie sparo' room. Tfie headmaster, Mr. J. F. Bel| reported a roll number of 71 pupils. Since tfie scfiool reopened attendance had been poor. Tfie floor of tfie senio room was to b® rcnewed during tfie fiolida^-a.
