Te Aute Seniors Win at Onga

(From

WAIPAWA, This Day. At Coronation Park, Waipawa, on. Saturday last the Waipawa junior teuiu

met and defeated Takapau B by 29 points to nil. The Waipawa team continues to show marked improvement and are rapidly developing into a handy combination. Mr. Edwards was referee. On the Onga Onga Domain the home team was defeated by the Te Aute senior team by 16 points to 3. The score, however, was no indication of the game, the Onga team making a game fight against their faster and fitter opponents, and it was only in the latter stages that Te Aute was able to dominate the game. Mr. L. Boden refereed.. At the conclusion of the game the Te Aute boys were provdded with afternoon tea, an action which was greatly appreciated.
