(Received 10, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, May 9. The Sunday papers almost unanimously praise the New Zealand cricketers' opening of their tour. The team was fet-ed at a dinner given by the Surrey Oricket Club in the historic Armourers' and Glaziers' Hall, the function being attended by Mr W. Nash and Mr W. J. Jordan. Sir Stanley Jackson toasted the team and tbe Earl of Middleton toasted New Zealand. It is evident that the second game will he a stern test. The Marylebone team, which includes seven. leading amateurs and four able professionals, is as follows: — Wyatt (captain), Moore, Pearce, Stephenson, Baxter, Griifiths, Human, Hendren, Edrich, Compton and Sims.
