RAID AT PAKOWHAI .
Charge of Possessing Opium Results A raid made at Pakowhai last evening by Detective-Sergeaixt L. Revell, Detective Campion and Constable W. S. Craigie, resulted in the appearance of a Chinese named Wing in the Hastings Magistrate's Court this morning on a chai'ge of beixxg in possession of prepared opium. A remand till May • 19 was granted, bail being fixed at £50. j Mr A. J. C. Runciman, J.P., was on the Bexxclx.
