SUNDAY NIGHT CONCERT
The first Sunday night eoncert of the 1937 season by the New Relief Wo.rkers' Association will be held ' n^xfc Sunday night in the Municipal Theatre, Hastings. A first-class prOgramme has been arranged to be staged by. the 2ZO concert party of 2ZO, the popular Palmerston North B station. The programme is headed by Uncle Len : who, like Uncle Peter of 2ZP, is master of the keyboard. He will present his own - cbmposition ■ of a village concert. This will be followed by a xylophone solo by Fred Gedson, of Fred Gedson's fam- - ous Aces Orchestra, of Palmerston North. Numbers will be given by Jack Wilson, a comedian, of Australia, who ; will give by special request, "Don'feGive up the Ship's Boy." Wilson aud", Zoon, a comery Duo, will be heard in [ a little sketch entitled ' 'Arguments. ' * ; Mrs. Keith Jones, 2ZO, a vocalist," will .* be heard in a number of popular songs/ Mr. Alf Ganderton, of Fred Gedson's' famous Aces Orchestra, will be heard ; m a number of piano accordion' num- ' bers. Mr. Spencer Toon, another of i 2ZO 's leading vocalists, will be heard - .in two pbpnlar nnmbers; "Trees" and ' ' Alone. ' ' Mr. Allan Sundburn will be ■ heardin a number of guitar solos, along with Hector Burke, also «on the guitar. Maurice Donovan will be seen in action song numbers. Mr. Lionel Bennett will render a number of accordion solps, including all the popular : itecnS and other 2ZO artists will give two hours of .good clean entertainment. .So come along and see what the B stations can give you in entertainment.
