INCREASE IN DWELLINGS The following statistics regarding the borough of Hastings for the year just end'ed may be of interest: — Borough eonstituted a Town Board in 1884. Incorporated a borough, 1886. No rate was struck for the rubbisli colleetion, as this service was borne by the general account; nevertheless, it is just as well to mention' that so far as is known, othep munieipalities levy a special sanitation fee or rate for this privilege, , so that df the cost of this service is taken into eonsideratiou the net increase in the amount of borough rates levied was very small.
