NEIGHBOUR'S GREETING
H. R. Yon
DADELSZEN,
On behalf of tlie citizens of Havelock North, ,1 have - pleasure in taking this opportunity of congratulating Hastings on the attainment of its jubilee. We in Havelock have watched with pleasure the wonderful - progress which your bbrough has made, particulafly during ; recent years, and, with you, we fully appreciate the fact tliatHastings now ranks as one of the foremost provincial towns in* the Dominion. The Havelock North Town Board has aiways had every;": support and sympathy from the Hastings Borough Council,. and / it is my earnest hope that the cordial relations which have aiways existed. between the two local bodies will long continue. I trust that, having now attained its jubilee, Hastings will soon increase itis population sufiiciently to be ranked as a city, ; and, with Havelock as its best residential suburb, will continue to make such progress that it will eventually become a principal 7 inland city in Ncw.
