Influential Bodies Cable Mr. Savage

WELLINGTON, Last Night. The following cablegram signed by M associations representative of the Dominion anfi Wellington has been sent to Mr Savage in London: — "The undersigned, representing over 100,000 members, convinced that migration is a most urgent and vital need, respectfully urge you during the present visit to negotiate with the British Government making possible large scale planned and finaneed migration at an early date. We are willing to extend every assistance and co-operation." The cable is signed by the Dominiob. Settlement Association, Associated Chambers of Commerce of New Zealand, New Zealand Farmers' Union, Women 's Division (inc.), Salvation Army of New Zealand, Wellington Empioyers' Association, Y.M.C.A. of New Zealand, Navy League, New Zealand Manufacturers' Federation, New Zealand Brapers ' Federation, Wellington Chambor of Commerce, Wellington General Carriers' and Forwarding Agents, Licensed Victuallers' Association of New Zealand, Farmers ' Co-operatiVe Wholesaie Federation of New Zealand (80 branehes), New Zealand Institute of Arehitects, Wellington Private Hotel Keepers' Industrial Union of Empioyers, English Speaking Union, Wellington Manufacturers' Association (inc.), North Island Motor Union, New Zealand FootbalJ Association, New Zealand ElectrieaJ Traders ' Federation, United Kingdom Manufacturers' and New Zealand Reprcsentatives ' Association (inc.).
