Their Majesties Hold First Court NEARLY 200 DEBUTANTS (Received 6, 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, May 5. Their Majesties first court of the reign was a scene of splendour, as nearly 200 debutantes ourtsied in the white and gold throne room. His Majesty wore the full dress scarlet and gold uniform of a field - marshal. The Gueen, for the first time, wore the Order of the Garter, oonferred on her in the New Year honours, the pale biue riband of which contrasted softly with her gown of deep golden brooade. The DuchesB oi Gloucester stood hehind Their Majesties in the Royal circles, whioh included the' Prinoess Royal, Lady Maud Carnegie, the Duke and Duchess of Athlone, Prinoess Helena Victoria, and Prinoess Marie Louise. Wliite and soft pastel shades were the most popular among the debutantes. To-night'a Court was a diplomatic onq, most of the presentatiotis being made by wives of members of the diplomatic corps.
