PRESERVING PEACE

British Empire's Aims (Received 5, 8.45 a.m.) LONDON, May 4. "The British Empire is absclutely United in its determination to use its power and influence to preserve world peace," said Mr Neville Chamberlain in opening this weck's conference of delegates from Parliaments in the Empire at Westminster Hall, Lord Cranborne, Under Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Mr J. Lansbury and others partieipated in a discussion on foreign affairs and the League of Nations, while the speakers in the afternoon on Empire defence and trade routes ineluded Sir Samuel Hoare. 3\tr R.
