Season Ends with Field Day

WAIPAWA, Last Night. The Waipawa Croquet Club ended the 1937 season with a field day the week-end, when members of tho Waipukurau Club wero present by invitation, and were welco-med by the president, Mrs. A. E. King. Competitions occupied the morniug, and progressive croquet was played in the af ternoon, but unpleasant weather at times interfered with the play. The winners were: — Golf croquet, Mrs. Bryce, Waipukurau; Frenck croquet, Mrs. Williams, Waipukurau; progressiye croquet, Mrs. W. E. Limbrick 1, Mrs Bryce 2. The club trophies for the season 's play were presented as follow: — A seetion, Mrs. H. Limbrick; B seetion, Mrs. A. E. King; A seetion brooch, Mrs. S. Dailey; B seetion brooch, Mrs. Upton.
