COUNTRY DANCING PARTY IN HASTINGS
^ o . . _ . Much fun and amusement was enjoyed by all who attended the party which the members of the ccuntry dan(ing circle of the Hastings Townswomen's Guild organised to open their soason. About 60 dancers aud onlookers were present and the Barrie Studio was an ideal place to hold the party. Under tae guidance of the circle leader, Miss Joan Lovell-Smith, who was assisted by the Misses Alix Eochfort, Lulu, Wyatt and Hazel Tyers, those taking part soon remembered the .dances and a full programme was danced. Mrs S. I. Jones very ably played the accompaniments. During an interval in the programme a delicious supper was handc»l round and was enjoyed by all. Members of the country dancing circle and any new members who would like to join will be welcomed at the eircle, the meetings being held every Monday evening in the Barrie Studio. Mrs F. Deans, secretary of the Hastings Townswomen's Guild, reminded everyone of »he wonderful historical pageant which guild members Uave, gone to great trouble to prepare for the coronytidn celebrations. • It will be held in the Municipal Theatre on Thursday, May 13, and is open to every woman.
