TAKAPAU, This Day. Takapau and Omakere met at Takapau on Saturday and Takapau won by 14 points to 3. The teams were : — Omakere : Layrie, Lavies, Elgie, Pineha, Price, Suthorland, Ede, Swainson, Cushing, Brewster, Makutu, Hunter, Pearce, Chrlstie, McGlashan. Takapau. — Craig, R. Halliday, L. Cowan, D. Heperi, A. Aldrich, R. Aldrich, C. Anderson, M. Maaka, W. Johnson, W. Bell, R. Edgecombe, R. Reid, C. Thomsen, L. Thoiuj»son, J. A. Harrison. The Omakere team were awarded many penalties, but were unable to take advantage of them. The Takapau backs wero speedier than tlieir opj)on-ent-s and combined better. The scorers were : — Takapau : Anderson (two tries), Maaka (try), A. Aldrich (try and conversion) ; Omakere : Pineha (try).' Mr D.
