More drastic penalties for sheopstealing were advocated at a meeting of the Gisborne Justiees of the Peace Association last ovening, one member stating that he had lost 800 head in the past year. The incomiiig committeQ was instructed to take the question up with the Minister of Justice, in an attempt to have some furthex- steps taken to reduce the evil.
