PARALYSIS CASES
Summary of Dominion Position Following is a summary of reports received through the Press Association of the infantile paralysis position in parts of New Zealand otlaer than Hawke'a Bay:— GISBORNE. — A nine-year-old boy who for the past twelve days has been an inmate of the children's ward at th© Cook Hospital was discovered yesterday morning to be suffering from infantile paralysis. PALMERSTON NORTH.— A boy aged 14 was admitted to the Hospital from Ashhurst yesterday afternoon as a positiv© case of infantile paralysis. Tbere was, however, no apparent paralysis. NELSON. — The first cas© of infantile paralysis in the Nelsin district during the present epidemic was - to-day admitted to the hospital from Owen River, 50 miles from Nelson. The patient is a gjrl aged 11 years. She is suffering from moderate paralysis of one leg. HAMILTON. — Five cases of infantile paralysis wer© sent to hospital yesterday, two being positive. OAMARU — Three positiv© cases of infantile paralysis, tbe first for over a month, were sent to hospital yesterday. -
