ICE SKATING CHAMPIWSfflP

The European figure skating champlonship this year was won by the 16-year-old Miss Cecilia Colledge, English champion, who placed a close second to Miss Sonja Henie last year. Some consider that the fine execution of her tremendously difflcult programme was superior to the former Norwegian champion's talents, while others found a certain li'lt and grace still lacking from her style. Miss Colledge was unanimously first, while Miss Megan Tayldr, who is fikewise 16 and was chaftipion of England at the age of 10, was unanimotisly second. In School figures, Miss Colledge and Miss Taylor were in a class by themselves, but Megan's free programme needs more quiet movement and ' an even tempo.
