WOMAN PLAYS TENNIS AT 70
Miss Mary Parr, of 'Kensington, South Australia, must be the oldest woman tennis player in Australia, says a writer in a Sydney paper. Although well /over 70 years she still volleys as well as most men. She cannot remember when she started playing tennis. She won the South Australian women's singles championship as long ago as 1892, and many times afterwards. Miss Parr, who still rides a bicycle admits that her play Is a little below the standard it was half-a-century ago, but says she will never give up tennis.
