Oh Thursday afternoon Mrs C. Henderson was tbe hostess at a very pleasant party gfiven at her home in Havelock road, Hastings, for Miss PhyJlis Cox, wJxose marriage will take place in June The Mawing-room. where tbe guests wei-e eiltertaiued, , was beautifully deoorated with autuinn-tinted flowers. A deli'cious afternoon tea was enjoyed, and afleiwards Miss. Cox was asked to open h r parcels, wiiich disclosed an assortment of useful gifts. Miss Cox ihen thanked her hostess for the jolly party, and the guests for their gifts. 4 Tlie winners of the various eompetitiohs ' held during the afternoon were Miss Bessie King, Mrs W. N.
