TRIO OF ACCIDENTS
French Airman in Difficulties •PLANE IN FLAMES (Beceived 30, 8.45 a.m.) PARIS, April 29. JThe speed ace, Raymond Del Motte, attempting a world speed record in a lond plane, had three mishaps. Firstly, a cylinder exploded necessitating the engine being changed. Then further sngine trouble developed later. Finally, when the attempt was apparently faitly started, the watchers were horrifled to see the 'plane suddenly overturn and spin downwards in flames. Del Motte jumped out, parachuted, and landed safely, being only slightiy injured in the head.
