DEEP PARCHMENT SATIN FOR BRIDAL GOWN

HAINSWORTH — EDWARDS Ueepest parchment satin beaute was chosen by the bride for the wedding gown at the marriage of Marjory R-osa-line, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Edwards, Plunket street, Hastings, . and Maurice Wilbv Hainsworth, of Wellington, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Hainsworth, Whitehead road, Hastings. Masses of lovely chrysanthemums in shades of white, gold and tawny orange were arranged by the bride 'a friends in St. Matthew's Ghurch, Hastings, whcre the wedding was solemnised las't evening. The Rev. K. Liggett olHeialed at ihe cercmony and ALr. G. B. Spinney presided at the organ and played the wedding inarches and the muiie for the hynin, "Graeious Spirit, Holy Gliost. ' ' The bride 's gown was simply cut with a iitting skirt and long train, the heru in front being cut up slightly to show lier shoes of the same parchment satin. The corsage was cut high at tJie heck in front and was slightly slashed and eauglit with a spray of orange blossom. The sleeves were full at the sho elders and long and fitting to the wrists whero they were pointed over the liands. Iler veil of embroidered tulle was arranged with a very narrow halo of orange blossom and was worn over the face when catering „ke church and was later thrown back. She carvied an ivory prayer book which was the gift of the bridegroom 's father to his br'ide on her wedding- day. • Two maide attended the bride, the Misses Vera Edwards, sister of the bride, and BeatVice. Hainsworth, sister of the bridegroom, and their gowns of capri blue stiffened net were mounted on taffeta in the same shado. Narrow bands of satin ribbon triinmed the very full skirts and the top of each godet was caught with a tiny pink pearlcentred flower. Satin ribbon triinmed the barrel sleeves and a spray of tiuy qink flowers was worn at one side of the neck and a blue satin ribbon sash at the waist. Each maid wore blue Satin shoes, a pleated halo of blue stiffened net and carried a Victorian posy of pink earnations and fern. Both bridesmaids wore pearl necklaces, the bridegroom 's gift. Mr. Alex Jamieson, of Wellington, was the best man, and Mr. J. V. Edwards gave. his daughter away. Following the ceremony, relatives and intimate friends were entertained at the bride' s home and were received by Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Edwards, assistd by Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Hainsworth. Mrs. Edwards wore a frocls of doep blue charmelaine flowered with sprays of tiny pink rosebuds. Her finger-tip length coat was of plain blue silk and a blue flower trimmed her black hat. She carried a posy of autumn-tinted chrysanthemums. Mrs. W. W. Hainsworth wore a gown of black silk velvet with shell pink georgette lining the bow at the neck and trimming the sleeves. She wore a black hat with touches of pink and carried a posy of pink chrysanthemums. The wedding breakfast was a very happy one and the usual toasts were honoured. The bride cut the wedding cake which was a large square singletier made by her mother and ftnished with silver favours and a small silvor vase of spray from the wedding cake of the bride 's grandmother. When the bride and bridegroom left for their honeymoon in the north the. bride travelled in a smartly tailored brown silk blouse beautifully smocked in lemon and brown at thq high neck and the wrists. She wore a brown felt hat with pleated crown and feather mount, brown suedo shoes and carried a python purse. Mr.^ and Mrs. Maurice Hainsworth will live in Wellington. Among the many Handsome wedding presents was a leather suitcase presented to the bridegroom by the stafE of the Dominion.
