Germans in South-west Africa are appealing to the Mandates Gommissibn of the League of Nations against the ban on their political activities A proclamation directed against NaNzism in • South-west Africa and against " recruitaient fot the German Army or auxiliary forces prohibits all but British subjects from participating in the activities df "deelated public bodies or political organisations ' ' in the mandated territOry. Defiance of the ban was implied by an official German neWs agency announcement on April 23 that 600 young Germans from South-west Africa have organised a ' ( corporation of patriots." mMmm
