THREE ONE-ACT PLAYS PRESENTED BY NAPILER REPERTORY PLAYERS
The three plays presented last event'ng in the Foresters' Hall by the Napier Repertory Players were exeellently chosen, produced and played- Every word waf clearly heard at the back of the hall and with the splendid curtain raiser, provided one of the> best evening' s entertainment given by members of the society. AU produoers are to be heartily congratulated and settiugs were well done. Special mention mu»t be given of "The Language of Love" produced by Miss May Macdonald . Charmdngi very early Vietorian frocks were worn and a period atmosphere was obtained by the excellent interior decorations of a withdrawing room of 1840. Mrs W. P. Mitchell had left no detail out — miniatures, silhouettes a vase of honesty, tall silver canalesticks, low footstools* the Vietorian wax fruit under a glass shade — needlework of the period and its charming frocking well deserved the applause given on the rising of the curtain. The hall was very well filled and at the conclusion light refreshments were served upstairs and a short dance followed. Among those pr^ent were Mr W. G.
