WEDDING BELLS AHEAD
Presentation at Waipukurau WAIPUKURAU, April 27. A happy evening, in honour of theii approaching marriage, was given for Miss L. M. Helean, superintendent oi the Waipukurau Telephone Exchange, and Mr. T. K. Field, clerk of the exchange, at the Waipukurau Post Offico last night. There was a large attendanee. On behaif of the Post Office staff, the postmaster (Mr. C. W. Browne), in a happy speech, conveyed the sentiment? of the staff to the future Mr. and Mrs. Field, wishing them happiness and proiperity in the days that are to ccme. He then asked them to accept, as b token of goodwill from the staff> a bea\ tiful antique box and fircsido furnishings. On behalf of Miss Helean and hini* self, Mr. Field thanked the members oi the Post Office staff for their handsome gift and good wishes for their future happiness.
