OTANE, Last Night. Although a keen wind was blow'mg the day other wise was fine for tbe Anzac services, at whicli there was a very large attendanee. The li«turned Soldiers asembled at • the Post Offico and, preceded by the combined Wai-pawa-Waipukurau Band, marehed to the Soldiers' Memorial, where the service, conducted by the Itev, R,. T. Hall, was held. Prayers were offered and the hymns ' '0 God Our Help in Ages Past," and "O Valient Hearts" were sung. An inspiring and impressive address was given by the Rev. Mr Hall, the theme of which was "Loyalty," the speaker stressing the general uplift and inealculable good to humanity were all sections of the community loyal to God, to their fellow men, to the eountry and to the falien. Mr H. Limbrick, president of the Waipawa R.S.A., gave a short address on the origin and signiflcance of Anzac Oay. A salute was fired by a squad from the Waipawa Higli Sclioo] cadets, and Mr J. Russell souiidcd -'The Last Post." The band, which also played the accompaniments for the hjmns, rendered "The Garland of Flowers."
