Ihe Eughy football season opened in Wairoa on Saturday afternoon, there being a good attendance of the public. Play was very poor and dt is obvious that the teams require some good solid practice. The results were: — . Seniors: Old Boys 27 v. Pirates 5: Nuhaka 16 v. Whakaki 6. Juniors: Waiau II v. Old Boys 8; Pirates 12 v. Pakuta-moane 8. Thirds: Pirates 16 v. Old Boys 0.
